कोलकाता येथील सारदा समूहाने सर्वसामान्यांची कोट्यवधींची फसवणूक केल्यानंतर ओदीशाचे मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनाईक यांनी वैधानिक चौकशी आयोग नेमण्याची घोषणा केली. त्यासाठी ओदिशा हायकोर्टाला अतिरिक्त सेवा देण्याची विनंतीही करण्यात आली. सर्वसामान्य गुंतवणूकदारांना संरक्षण देण्यासाठी काय करता येईल, याविषयी उपाययोजना सुचवण्याविषयी आयोगाला सांगण्यात आले. अशा प्रकारचा आयोग प्रत्येक राज्यात असणे गरजेचे आहे. या आयोगांना सेबीने मान्यता देऊन त्यांना कारवाईचे अधिकार द्यावेत, अशीही मागणी गुंतवणूकदारांकडून होत आहे. येत्या १५ तारखेला मुंबईत आजाद मैदानावर पर्ल्सचे गुंतवणूकदार राज्यभरातून मोठ्या प्रमाणावर एकवटणार आहेत. यावेळी सेबीच्या मुंबईतील कार्यालयावर मोर्चा नेण्यात येणार असून सेबीला गुंतवणूकदारांतर्फे कंपनीविरोधात कारवाई करून गुंतवणूकदारांचे पैसे परत द्यावेत, असे निवेदनही देण्यात येणार आहे.
